I am advertising on behalf of my exciting client, a fast-growing engineering scale-up, looking for a Buyer to join their procurement team.

The Role

As a Buyer, you will play a key role in sourcing high-quality materials and components, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process.

🔹 Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and reliability.

🔹 Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.

🔹 Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize supply chain costs.

🔹 Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

🔹 Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet material and component needs.

🔹 Manage purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules for timely supply.

🔹 Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.

🔹 Proactively address supply chain challenges to minimize disruptions.

🔹 Support inventory management improvements and continuous procurement optimizations.

What We’re Looking For

🔹 Proven experience as a Buyer in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

🔹 Strong negotiation skills with a strategic mindset.

🔹 Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

🔹 Solid understanding of supply chain dynamics and procurement processes.

🔹 Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

🔹 Strong communication skills – able to work cross-functionally.

🔹 Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Relevant experience as a Buyer or a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics and international logistics.
