ARCA Consulting is supporting a growing engineering and infrastructure business in the appointment of an Assistant Project Accountant to join its Commercial & Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or finance professional with up to two years’ experience looking to develop a career in project accounting within the engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Commercial, Project Managers and Finance team, supporting:
- Project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
- Client invoicing and applications for payment
- Cost monitoring and project profitability
- Management reporting, KPIs and cash-flow forecasting
- Month-end and year-end accounting activities
- Project administration and financial analysis
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience within a finance, accounting or commercial role.
- Numerate, analytical and highly organised
- Detail-focused with strong Excel skills
- Confident communicating with colleagues and stakeholders
- Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to develop
Experience with Xero, AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA studies, or within engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure would be advantageous but not essential.
