About the Role
My client is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Production General Operative to join their growing manufacturing team based in Morley, Leeds.
This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach. You will be supporting skilled tradespeople in the production, preparation, storage, and transportation of high-quality furniture, helping to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow all health & safety protocols and company procedures
* Assist in the assembly and construction of cabinetry and table components
* Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and hand tools
* Carry out finished goods packaging and prepare items for dispatch
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the shop floor
* Provide support for goods-in processes
* Assist with CNC loading (FLT licence desirable)
* Perform general warehouse duties as required
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential
* Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is desirable
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Working Environment
* Indoor workshop environment with exposure to wood dust, noise, and machinery
* Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and ear protection is mandatory
* Fast-paced environment with varied production demands
