Role Overview
The clinic is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of its financial operations.This is a strategic, hands-on role that combines executive and operational finance responsibilities, management of outsourced services, and acting as a key point of contact for banking, payment systems, and regulatory bodies. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership, ensure compliance, and support the clinicβs growth through accurate reporting and robust financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and budgeting processes.
- Manage cashflow to maintain financial stability.
- Oversee cost management initiatives.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for senior leadership.
- Conduct monthly stock reconciliation.
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting.
- Process weekly payments to suppliers.
- Supervise outsourced payroll services.
- Oversee outsourced accounting services
- Ensure timely VAT filings and all statutory financial filings are completed.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred, or a strong finance professional with significant commercial experience and demonstrable expertise in financial management.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manage.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, payroll, VAT, and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing outsourced accounting and payroll services.
- Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- An ideas person who can identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Confident communicator capable of influencing and collaborating with senior leadership and externalpartners.
