Our client, a well-established business based in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, is looking to recruit an experienced Administrator / Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis. This is a varied role combining bookkeeping and office administration, ideal for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working independently, and has strong Xero experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily bookkeeping using Xero
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit control
- Preparing VAT information
- General office administration
- Handling telephone and email enquiries
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the management team
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent working knowledge of Xero (essential)
- Previous bookkeeping and administrative experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- The ability to work on their own initiative
Desirable:
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Payroll experience
- AAT qualification or similar
