Overview
We are seeking a reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Delivery Driver to join our team on a rotating shift basis. This is a hands-on role involving early morning or overnight shifts, year-round, in all weather conditions. You\’ll be responsible for timely product deliveries, managing delivery records, and overseeing runners during peak days.
Key Responsibilities
* Load vehicles and conduct pre-journey vehicle checks
* Deliver milk and other products to homes and businesses
* Collect empty bottles and manage stock on the vehicle
* Record deliveries, customer payments, and updates using handheld tablets
* Distribute printed invoices and collect doorstep payments
* Clean and unload vehicle post-delivery
* Manage milk runners (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays)
* Sort Longley Farm products into bags on Fridays (30–45 mins)
Shift Pattern (Rotating Weekly)
Week A (Shift 1)
* Monday: 11:30 PM (Sun) – ~6:45 AM (7.25 hrs)
* Tuesday: 11:00 PM – ~7:00 AM (8 hrs)
* Wednesday: 1:30 AM – ~7:00 AM (5.5 hrs)
* Optional Handyman Day (Thu or Fri): 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Week B (Shift 2)
* Thursday: 12:00 AM – ~7:00 AM (7 hrs)
* Friday: 11:00 PM – ~7:00 AM (8 hrs)
* Saturday: 9:00 PM – ~7:00 AM (10 hrs)
* Optional Handyman Day (Mon or Tue): 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay rates:-
£14.46ph plus holiday pay for driving and £14.17ph plus holiday pay for handy man.
Requirements
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Reliable and able to work independently during unsociable hours
* Good physical fitness (lifting, carrying, outdoor work)
* Willingness to work in all weather conditions
* Flexibility with start times during adverse weather (e.g. snow)
Additional Info
* Deliveries occur every day of the year except Christmas Day
* Christmas deliveries are completed a day early
* Opportunity for extra earnings through optional weekday handyman work
