Arc Partnership is a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) and SCAPE. Formed in 2016 to support the council in creating an efficient, safe, and sustainable land and property portfolio, creating meaningful change and a lasting legacy for the people of County.
We deliver multi-disciplinary services and consult, design, build, manage and maintain on behalf of the council and the communities and people it represents. Your new role:
We\βre looking for an experienced Architect with significant professional experience in a similar UK based role to join our in house RIBA Chartered Practice. Our Design team have a passion for architecture and technical design that really makes a difference to our community and creates a lasting legacy across Nottinghamshire. Ideally you\βll have a mature understanding of the sector with extensive hands on and strategic exposure within a similar portfolio.
As part of Arc Partnership, you will have the opportunity to inform a project from initial inception through to delivery and ultimate handover to the client. Given our longstanding relationship with NCC we have seen the development of the County estate portfolio to improve the lives of the people of Nottinghamshire.
Our practice, working within a multi disciplinary team, gives you exposure to, and influence over a wider set of factors including the ability to collaborate with a range of consultants / clients / end users / planning authorities in the design and delivery of our projects than you might get elsewhere. There\βs a broad range of projects across an impressive portfolio of local government initiatives. Things like Libraries, Schools, Social Care, new and existing buildings of a wide range of scales. It\βs a responsibility we take seriously and deliver with pride.
As part of a 20 strong Architectural Design Team we\βre looking for someone to bring expertise and enthusiasm, supporting our continued success.
What you\βll do:
We\βre looking for you to be able to lead on your own projects, delivering superb architectural designs that protects the clients brief.
- Be able to liaise with colleagues across the RIBA stages to take on board additional information and assimilate it into your designs.
- Be able to produce a range of designs 2D / 3D design using Autodesk Revit, and other visualisation and photo editing software
- Ability to manage varying workload including some challenging deadlines
What you\βll bring:
You\βll be experienced in RIBA stages 2 to 4/5 but wider experience across all RIBA stages would be advantageous.
Degree in Architecture, and a significant portfolio of projects.
Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit for both 3D collaborative design and 2D production information output.
Post qualification evidence of CPD / RIBA core curriculum topics.
Technical design experience working as part of a design team.
Stakeholder management, excellent communication skills and planning and prioritisation skills are a must.
Knowledge of current & emerging technical design, construction and environmental issues, legislative requirements, and statutory responsibilities.
Knowledge of Public Sector design is a bonus.
