About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a new housing development. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivering high-quality homes safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining excellent communication with the client, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all site activities to ensure work is completed safely, to specification, on schedule, and to a high standard.
- Supervise and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to the Contracts/Project Manager.
- Manage site documentation, including RAMS, QA checks, and site diaries.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and local authorities.
- Ensure a clean, organised, and compliant site at all times.
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential housing projects (ideally new build).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards, and construction best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and drive progress under tight deadlines.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid certifications essential.
- Good IT skills and familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Viewpoint, Procore, or similar) desirable.
