Our client, a well-established and expanding building services contractor, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Chelmsford and will primarily involve overseeing all mechanical services within the commercial and retail sectors. As the company continues to grow, there will be opportunities for the role to develop and expand into additional areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of mechanical services across multiple commercial and retail projects
  • Overseeing project planning, coordination, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Acting as the key point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensuring full compliance with industry standards, health & safety requirements, and company procedures
  • Providing technical guidance and support throughout all stages of project delivery
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and progression of the mechanical division

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within commercial or retail environments
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC and plumbing
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow alongside a developing business
