A well-established and growing industrial services company is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join its skilled engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional looking for stable, long-term work at a competitive hourly rate of £26 per hour.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within industrial environments. The role requires strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of industrial electrical systems, containment, and cabling
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on machinery and control systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical schematics
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Ensuring all work complies with current health and safety regulations
- Testing and inspection of electrical installations
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Engineering
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience in an industrial environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work from technical drawings
- ECS/CSCS card (preferred)
- IPAF or PASMA (advantageous but not essential)
