Our client, a large property maintenance company, is looking for an experienced Plasterer / Multi-Trader to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract carrying out general repairs and maintenance in properties covering throughout Bedford and the surrounding areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced Plasterer / Multi Trader who also holds skills in other trades.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.
- Ensuring all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
- Promoting the client's corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
- Actively deal with tenant issues and complaints in a positive and effective manner.
- Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
- Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
As a skilled multi-trade operative with relevant experience in maintenance projects, you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within a maintenance environment preferred.
- Must have previous experience as a Plasterer / Multi Trader.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills when liaising with tenants within occupied properties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have a minimum level 2 NVQ or be a time-served plasterer whilst also being experienced in completing various other day-to-day repairs and maintenance tasks such as bricklaying, tiling, painting and decorating etc.
- Asbestos Awareness Training (ARC can provide free online training for this).
- Full UK driving license (manual).
Both self-employed and PAYE options are available on a temporary basis.
