A leading Tier One main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior MEP Estimator to join their high-performing Pre-Construction team. This is a senior-level opportunity offering strategic involvement in major commercial tenders across London and the South East.
With offices based in both London and Essex, the role offers hybrid working, requiring a minimum of three days per week on site or in office.
The RoleThis position will take the lead on complex MEP estimating packages (typically Β£5mβΒ£50m+) across high-profile commercial developments. The Senior MEP Estimator will play a critical role in bid strategy, risk management, and cost planning, working closely with Directors, project teams, and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead the preparation of MEP estimates and full cost plans for commercial building services

Oversee the take-off process and review mechanical and electrical designs and specifications

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing

Attend and lead tender reviews, value engineering sessions, and strategy meetings

Support and mentor junior members of the estimating team

Provide detailed handovers to delivery teams, ensuring continuity through pre-construction

Minimum of 7β10 years\' MEP estimating experience, ideally with Tier One or large M&E contractors

Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical services in commercial environments
