We are currently working on behalf of a well-established and growing civil engineering and groundworks contractor who is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their senior delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially and operationally astute professional with a strong background in civils or groundworks projects to play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the management and performance of several projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple live projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Overseeing site teams, including Project Managers and Site Managers
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms, programme, and commercial targets
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Driving health & safety standards across all sites
- Managing variations, valuations, and cost control in conjunction with the commercial team
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving contractual issues
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within civils and/or groundworks
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering methodologies and construction contracts
- A track record of successfully delivering multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
