Job Advert: Warehouse & Production Operative with Forklift
ARC Recruitment is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join a dynamic team in the safety equipment manufacturing industry.
This is a hands-on role that offers a fantastic opportunity with a varied set of responsibilities across both production and warehousing.
The successful candidate will be involved in a mixed role, spending approximately 80% of their time on warehouse duties and 20% on forklift operations (Counterbalance and Reach).
The client is a great company to work for, offering a Temp-to-Perm opportunity with progression and training for the right person.
We\’re looking for a proactive and engaged team player who takes initiative and contributes to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating on an assembly line to produce safety equipment.
- Working with raw materials.
- Using handheld devices for accurate stock control.
- Goods-in and goods-out duties, including loading/unloading vehicles.
- Safely and efficiently operating Counterbalance and Reach forklifts for stock rotation.
- Accurately picking and packing orders for dispatch.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or assembly line environment is desirable.
- Valid or expired licenses for Counterbalance and Reach forklifts are accepted, as refresher training will be provided. If you only hold a Reach license, the client will train you on the Counterbalance.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A proactive, team-player attitude and a desire to take on new tasks.
- Physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and standing for long periods.
- Must be a driver due to the need to operate the forklift on the road.
Pay & Hours
- Pay Rate: ÂŁ12.75 per hour, with the potential for ÂŁ13.68 per hour for a superstar. For all successful applicants pay will increase upon passing probation.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekend work!
