My client based on the outskirts of Norwich is looking for an organised and proactive Warehouse Supervisor / Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and lead a small to medium-sized team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch and stock control
- Lead, motivate and support warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets
- Ensure health & safety standards and company procedures are followed at all times
- Manage stock accuracy, cycle counts and inventory systems
- Coordinate with logistics, transport and office teams to ensure smooth operations
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Train and onboard new team members
- Handle performance management, scheduling and shift planning
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory / team leader role
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and stock control processes
- Good communication and problem-solving ability
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
