Are you a Python expert who has built quant trading platforms from the ground up? This is a rare opportunity to join a leading international capital markets organisation, renowned for its cutting-edge technology and fast-paced trading environment.
You will take a pivotal role in designing and delivering a new quantitative development framework, shaping the Python ecosystem that underpins trading, pricing, and risk across the Front Office.
The Role:
You will:
- Lead the build of a brand-new Python-based quant development framework, owning its design, architecture, and tooling.
- Partner closely with teams in London and New York to define the Python environment, toolset, and DevOps processes from the ground up.
- Collaborate with quantitative engineers, model developers, and traders, enabling agile delivery of advanced trading and risk tools.
- Solve complex engineering challenges, laying the foundation for next-generation research and trading platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build the core Python quant library used for pricing, risk analysis, and model research.
- Develop an interactive tools framework for live applications (Excel & Web).
- Implement CI/CD automation for testing, packaging, and deploying Python modules.
- Collaborate with Front Office teams to implement and enhance bespoke trading solutions.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in building and owning quant frameworks, ideally within trading or capital markets.
- Expert-level Python development skills, with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Experience with high-performance data analytics applications.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals and database technologies.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of PyXLL, C++/C#, or pybind.
