We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a high-performing Business Intelligence team within the (re)insurance industry. This role combines financial expertise, data analytics, and strategic insight, supporting both internal decision-making and client-facing initiatives. You will play a key role in delivering sophisticated financial and market insights, leading analytical workstreams, and presenting clear, commercially focused recommendations to senior stakeholders. The position offers significant exposure to strategic projects and the opportunity to influence how data and technology are used across the (re)insurance market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver financial and accounting analysis, benchmarking, and insight to industry stakeholders
- Lead and execute strategic client projects, aligned to agreed objectives and KPIs
- Produce high-quality financial and strategic reports, identifying new insight opportunities
- Act as a trusted partner to senior internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and impactful insight delivery
- Develop and contribute to data strategies that support effective commercial decision-making
- Analyse, interpret, and visualise complex datasets to generate actionable insights
- Assess competitive dynamics, products, and market trends within the (re)insurance sector
- Present findings and recommendations confidently to stakeholders at all levels
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience within the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS 17
- Solid financial OR accounting background with demonstrable analytical expertise
- Advanced capability in data analysis and interpretation
- Experience building clear, impactful presentations using Microsoft Office; Power BI experience preferred
- Strong understanding of data quality, integrity, and reconciliation processes
- Confidence engaging with senior management and presenting complex information clearly
