Head of Cyber Analytics is required by a global, high-growth, fast-paced, and collaborative global underwriting business to drive the development of cutting-edge cyber risk analytics and modelling capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building a best-in-class cyber underwriting proposition, partnering with senior stakeholders globally. This newly created position offers the chance to shape the global cyber analytics strategy. Working as part of a high-performing global team, you’ll use your expertise to develop actionable insights from a wide variety of data sources—ranging from modelling and pricing to incident response and real-time threat monitoring. You’ll collaborate closely with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to refine strategy, optimise risk selection, and deliver a competitive edge in the cyber insurance market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global cyber analytics strategy and enhance the business's position as a cyber market leader.
- Develop a data-rich platform to unlock insights across modelling, loss performance, and threat intelligence.
- Shape underwriting and distribution strategies based on advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with senior global leaders and regional teams to develop regional analytics capabilities.
- Evaluate cyber vendor models and build proprietary risk views.
- Guide strategic engagements with carrier and broker partners.
- Oversee cyber exposure management and support dynamic pricing strategies.
- Provide leadership on systemic risk and represent the business at industry events.
- Drive the adoption of next-gen analytics tools and platforms.
- Design impactful dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience leading cyber analytics functions, ideally with expertise in cyber catastrophe vendor models (e.g. CyberCube, RMS).
- Deep understanding of performance metrics within a global insurance environment.
- Experience developing proprietary cyber risk models and delivering strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in SQL and Excel (including VBA); familiarity with Power BI and coding languages is advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
