Senior Data Business Analyst with insurance experience is required to join a buoyant insurance organisation with offices within the heart of the city. Working within a high-performing data team this role will see you working with business stakeholders, regional data teams, and IT to support the development of strategic data platforms, including a Group Data Lakehouse. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing data capabilities and delivering solutions that support both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and long-term strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the analysis, validation, and management of business and system requirements across the full delivery lifecycle.
- Support the design and enhancement of strategic data platforms, with a focus on enabling improved analytical capabilities.
- Act as a key liaison between data teams, IT, Underwriting, Operations, and Finance, ensuring alignment of priorities and clear communication.
- Design and map business processes to support new data products, services, and process improvements.
- Evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- Ensure technical requirements align with business needs and challenge assumptions where necessary to drive value.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in the use of data and emerging technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis, ideally with a focus on data products, data quality, and migration projects.
- Background in the insurance sector — ideally within an MGA, broker, or (re)insurance carrier.
- Strong understanding of data operations and data management principles.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with a methodical approach to delivery.
- Confident team player with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Commercially aware and up to date with developments in insurance and data technologies.
