Lead Salesforce Product Owner
London, 4 days a week in the office, Permanent, circa £120k + 20% bonus + excellent benefits
I’m working with a fast-growing, private equity-backed business to appoint a Lead Salesforce Product Owner. This is a senior product leadership role that stays hands-on.
Salesforce is the organisation’s core system. You will own it end to end, covering strategy, roadmap, backlog, releases, BAU support and technical debt across Sales, Marketing and Operations. Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will work with a high degree of autonomy and engage directly with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
Around 70% of the role is product ownership, stakeholder management, line management and vendor management, including an outsourced delivery partner. The remaining 30% is hands-on: declarative configuration and Flow, solution and design review, selected Apex/LWC development, and support on complex issues.
The org was built in-house and has grown quickly. The priority now is to mature it: rationalise automation, reduce technical debt and strengthen release management, building on a recent move to CI/CD.
Key requirements:
- 5+ years owning Salesforce products and roadmaps in a business-critical environment
- End-to-end platform ownership, including BAU, support, releases and technical debt, not only project delivery
- Strong declarative skills and working knowledge of Apex, SOQL, LWC and APIs
- Experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
- Line management experience and experience managing consultancies or delivery partners
- A commercial, delivery-focused approach and a practical interest in AI and automation
