Contract | 3-Month Rolling | Up to £500/day (Inside IR35) | Remote-first, with ad hoc time in Canary Wharf as required.

Our client, a fast-growing organisation with a modern Microsoft Azure estate, is looking for a Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their technology team on an initial 3-month rolling contract. This is a hands-on, BAU-focused role covering incidents, service requests, routine infrastructure changes and platform monitoring across Azure, networking, Microsoft 365 and identity services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance and availability of Azure infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
  • Triage and resolve infrastructure incidents and service requests, escalating where needed.
  • Administer Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, app services) and support Entra ID / Microsoft 365 access management.
  • Support Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN and remote-access services.
  • Carry out routine patching, maintenance and security/compliance tasks.
  • Maintain documentation and run-books, and support end-user device builds and IT project rollouts.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and core cloud concepts.
  • Solid networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, VNets, NSGs).
  • Experience troubleshooting infrastructure/cloud incidents in a commercial environment.
  • Clear communicator with good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Desirable:

  • AZ-900/AZ-104 (or working towards).
  • Microsoft 365/Entra ID/AVD exposure.
  • PowerShell/IaC basics.
  • Ticketing systems (Jira/Confluence).
  • Financial services/fintech background.

Remote-first – office attendance only as required (roughly once every 3 weeks), Canary Wharf.
