Our client, a fast-growing organisation with a modern Microsoft Azure estate, is looking for a Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their technology team on an initial 3-month rolling contract. This is a hands-on, BAU-focused role covering incidents, service requests, routine infrastructure changes and platform monitoring across Azure, networking, Microsoft 365 and identity services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance and availability of Azure infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
- Triage and resolve infrastructure incidents and service requests, escalating where needed.
- Administer Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, app services) and support Entra ID / Microsoft 365 access management.
- Support Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN and remote-access services.
- Carry out routine patching, maintenance and security/compliance tasks.
- Maintain documentation and run-books, and support end-user device builds and IT project rollouts.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and core cloud concepts.
- Solid networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, VNets, NSGs).
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure/cloud incidents in a commercial environment.
- Clear communicator with good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Desirable:
- AZ-900/AZ-104 (or working towards).
- Microsoft 365/Entra ID/AVD exposure.
- PowerShell/IaC basics.
- Ticketing systems (Jira/Confluence).
- Financial services/fintech background.
Remote-first – office attendance only as required (roughly once every 3 weeks), Canary Wharf.
