A well-established and rapidly growing civils and groundworks subcontractor based in Wisbech is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding workload. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has built an excellent reputation in the region and continues to win repeat work across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
The Role: You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple civils and groundworks projects, working closely with the delivery teams and directors. Key responsibilities will include:
- Full commercial management of projects from tender through to final account
- Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Managing subcontractor packages and accounts
- Assessing variations, change control, and cost recovery
- Supporting procurement and tendering where required
- Working closely with site and operational teams to maximise margins
What They’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or groundworks is essential
- Strong understanding of subcontractor environments
- Good commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
- Confident communicator, able to work closely with both site and senior management
- Well organised, proactive, and commercially minded
