Our client, a highly regarded organisation within the housing and property sector, is seeking an experienced Disabled Facilities (DFG) Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveying professional with experience in housing adaptations, private sector housing, or grant-funded improvement works to play a key role in delivering life-changing adaptations that enable residents to live safely and independently in their homes.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake property surveys and prepare detailed specifications, schedules of work, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
- Liaise with Occupational Therapists, architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure projects progress efficiently.
- Obtain and evaluate contractor quotations and tenders, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Carry out final inspections and manage defect resolution during defect liability periods.
Requirements to be successful:
- Experience within a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG), Housing Adaptations, Private Sector Housing, Building Surveying, or related environment.
- Knowledge of adaptation works for disabled and vulnerable residents.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Surveying or related field.
