A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee MEP contractors on major healthcare facility installation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring works are delivered to programme, specification and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage MEP contractors and subcontractors on site.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and associated building services installations.
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and project programmes.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity and workmanship.
  • Coordinate daily site activities and liaise closely with project management, engineers and other trades.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Monitor progress against programme and identify any issues or delays.
  • Ensure all works comply with healthcare-sector standards, site procedures and health & safety requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
  • Assist with coordination, sequencing and resolution of site-based technical and logistical issues.
  • Maintain accurate site records and ensure appropriate documentation is completed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role on MEP/building services projects.
  • Strong experience overseeing MEP contractors and subcontractors.
  • Previous experience within healthcare, hospitals or similarly complex facilities would be highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and construction sequencing.
  • Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and priorities in a live construction environment.
  • Relevant site management qualifications and certifications.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS Card.

Project type: Healthcare facility installations

Duration: Ongoing works through to 2028

Working hours: 07:30 – 17:00

Rate: £300 per day CIS - LTD / PAYE £200
