I’m currently working with a prestigious residential developer that is continuing to grow its commercial team and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business. Based in Tooting, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded developer with an impressive portfolio of residential projects and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality developments.
The Role
- Managing the commercial aspects of residential development projects
- Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and cost plans
- Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial agreements
- Reviewing and agreeing variations, valuations and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and commercial performance
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Working closely with project and construction teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with budgets and financial targets
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in residential construction or residential development. You will have excellent commercial awareness, strong subcontractor management experience and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Experience working for a residential developer or main contractor delivering high-quality residential schemes would be highly advantageous.
