Project Manager – Civil Engineering Location: Regional (Office & Site-Based) Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits Sector: Civil Infrastructure (Highways, Marine, Energy, Structures) Company Overview Our client is a reputable and growing regional civil engineering contractor with a diverse portfolio across the highways, bridges, flood defence, harbours, renewable energy, and private infrastructure sectors. With a strong order book and repeat business from public and private clients, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of key projects across the region. Core Sectors Highways & Roads Bridge Construction & Structural Repairs Coastal & Flood Defence Harbours & Marine Infrastructure Renewable Energy Infrastructure Private Sector Utilities & Infrastructure Role Summary As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of civils projects from pre-start to handover, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. You will be responsible for managing all site activities, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver civil engineering projects in line with programme, budget, and quality targets Lead and manage project teams including engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout project lifecycle Manage project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance Support commercial teams with cost control, variations, and programme impact assessments Forecast resources and materials, and resolve site issues proactively Promote a positive culture of collaboration, safety, and performance on site Requirements 5+ years’ experience in site/project management on civils projects (ideally with a Tier 2 or regional contractor) Strong understanding of civils methods across highways, marine, flood, or energy sectors Experience managing NEC or ICE contracts preferred Excellent leadership, planning, and client-facing skills Proficient in MS Project or similar project planning tools SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White card), and First Aid Full UK driving licence Benefits Package Salary: £65,000 – £75,000, dependent on experience Company car or car allowance Annual bonus scheme Enhanced pension & private medical Training & professional development Regional work – minimal staying away from home
