ARC are currently looking for a Management Accountant. Working for my client an established social housing contractor.
Role Summary
Management accountant role reports directly into business director and provides financial insight to support management decisions in the form of monthly management accounts, KPI reports and ad‑hoc analysis as and when required.
Key Duties
- Management accounts production, posting of journal entries and production of monthly WIP schedule to support monthly MA production.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Overseeing payroll function & responsibility for monthly salary payment.
- Monitoring of daily cashflow forecast.
- Weekly payment runs to suppliers & sub‑contractors.
- Lead role in statutory audit for trading company.
- Quarterly VAT returns.
- Production of monthly management report.
- Weekly WIP monitoring & reporting.
- Ad‑hoc analysis & tasks as required such as customer profitability reviews, ONS returns, CITB levy submissions.
Key Skills
- Fully qualified or working towards accounting qualification.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge with Excel & accounting systems.
- Confident in engaging with multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience within construction industry.
