Join a Global Leader in Semiconductors. We are seeking an experienced Import/Export Specialist to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the seamless international movement of high-value technology products.
The Opportunity
As the Import/Export Specialist, you will be integral to the company’s global supply chain, providing expert knowledge of the import and export regulations for the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for ensuring that all receipts & shipments of critical semiconductor components are fully compliant with UK and international shipping, Duty and VAT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end import and export documentation, regulations and HMRC returns for semiconductor products.
- Prepare, review, and manage all shipping and customs documentation.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with UK and international trade laws, including export controls and sanctions.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reporting.
- Troubleshoot customs or shipping issues and proactively resolve delays.
- Support procurement, production, and sales teams with logistics expertise.
About You
- Proven experience in import/export or logistics, ideally within the technology or semiconductor sector.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, international trade compliance, and export controls.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in ERP and logistics management systems (Expandable ERP system experience a plus).
- Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ideally with a legal background and familiar with contract law.
- Eager to stay updated with evolving industry regulations.
