Rate of pay: Paye £36.10ph Umbrella £50PH
We’re working with a forward-thinking Local Authority who are looking to appoint a Developing Highways Senior Engineer to support the delivery of growth and infrastructure across the county. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in reviewing and approving highways works linked to new developments, ensuring schemes are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with standards.
The Role
- Managing S38 & S278 agreements from application through to completion
- Reviewing and approving developer-led highway designs
- Negotiating with developers, consultants, and stakeholders
- Providing technical advice on planning applications
- Overseeing site inspections and supporting road adoption
About You
- Experience in highways or civil engineering (Local Authority or consultancy)
- Strong knowledge of S38 / S278 agreements
- Experience reviewing or producing highway designs
- Confidence dealing with developers and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
