An established compliance contractor is currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to support continued growth across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London. This is a mobile role working within 30 minutes of your home address, with any additional travel paid.

The position involves commissioning fire alarm systems from design stage through to handover, ensuring all systems are installed, tested and certified in line with current regulations.

Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer Requirements:

  • FIA (or equivalent) commissioning qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of BS5839-1:2017 and BS5839-6:2019
  • Electrical qualifications (desirable)
  • Previous electrical experience within domestic environments
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Ability to inspect, test and commission systems to specification
  • Experience completing commissioning certification and documentation
  • Confident liaising with clients, site managers and project teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example on site
  • Good IT literacy
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience commissioning systems including: Advanced, Ziton, Kentec, Morley, Aico (Part 6)

Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer Salary & Benefits:

  • £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
