I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics and shipping company based in Harwich for a Warehouse & Transport Administrator to join their growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a long-term career within the logistics, warehousing and transport sector.
Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse and transport operation while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service.
The Role
- Processing customer orders and ensuring all information is accurate before dispatch.
- Preparing packing lists, delivery notes and operational documentation for the warehouse team.
- Accurately entering data into the warehouse management system using manifests and import specifications.
- Monitoring stock movements and assisting with stock-related enquiries.
- Liaising with customers regarding deliveries, stock availability and operational updates.
- Supporting the coordination of import and export container movements to meet operational deadlines.
- Monitoring transport schedules and helping ensure deliveries are completed on time.
- Assisting with delivery planning and maintaining regular communication with haulage providers and drivers.
- Providing general administrative support to the warehouse and transport operations teams.
About You
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with data and computer systems.
- A confident communicator who enjoys dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Able to prioritise workload in a busy operational environment.
- Previous experience within logistics, transport, shipping, warehousing or supply chain administration would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
