We are seeking an experienced and reliable Groundsworker for our contractor that specialises in social housing contracts. The role involves carrying out a range of external maintenance and installation works, including slabbing, fencing, and concreting, ensuring all jobs are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out slabbing and paving works (paths, patios, access areas)
- Install and repair fencing (timber, concrete posts, panels)
- Perform concreting tasks including bases, footings, and pathways
- Undertake general grounds maintenance and external repairs
- Prepare and clear sites, including excavation and groundwork preparation
- Use hand tools and small plant equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy after completion
- Work in occupied social housing environments, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Follow company health & safety procedures and site regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in slabbing, fencing, and concreting
- Previous experience working in social housing or similar environments (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
