We are seeking an experienced and reliable Groundsworker for our contractor that specialises in social housing contracts. The role involves carrying out a range of external maintenance and installation works, including slabbing, fencing, and concreting, ensuring all jobs are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out slabbing and paving works (paths, patios, access areas)
  • Install and repair fencing (timber, concrete posts, panels)
  • Perform concreting tasks including bases, footings, and pathways
  • Undertake general grounds maintenance and external repairs
  • Prepare and clear sites, including excavation and groundwork preparation
  • Use hand tools and small plant equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy after completion
  • Work in occupied social housing environments, maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Follow company health & safety procedures and site regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in slabbing, fencing, and concreting
  • Previous experience working in social housing or similar environments (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
