BMS SALES ENGINEER Location: Suffolk / Hybrid Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Company Car Working Pattern: Full Time - Hybrid Applicants must have full right to work in the UK, with no requirement for visa sponsorship now or in the future. A growing specialist engineering business is looking to appoint a BMS Sales Engineer to help develop its client base and grow its presence across the BMS and building services market. The business has an established background in electrical control systems and delivers solutions across sectors including building services, energy and wastewater. This is a technical sales role suited to someone who understands BMS, HVAC or building controls and is comfortable dealing directly with customers, identifying opportunities and developing solutions. The Role Identify and develop new business opportunities across the BMS / building controls market Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients Attend client meetings, site visits and presentations to understand requirements and develop suitable solutions Prepare quotations, technical proposals and sales documentation Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically suitable and commercially viable Provide technical advice and support throughout the sales process Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop long-term client relationships Keep up to date with developments in BMS, controls, HVAC and associated technologies Maintain accurate records of opportunities, client activity and project progress About You The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of BMS, HVAC, building controls or a closely related discipline, combined with the commercial confidence to deal with customers and develop new business. You will ideally have: Previous experience in BMS, HVAC, building controls or controls engineering Experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, estimating or business development position Good understanding of building services and control systems Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to understand technical requirements and translate these into practical solutions Good commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Full UK driving licence This could suit someone already working in BMS sales, HVAC sales, controls, estimating or project engineering who is looking to move further into a client-facing commercial role.
