The Role: We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the UK. This critical role involves managing project delivery from start to finish, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple refurbishment and roofing projects concurrently
- Recruit, lead, and coordinate subcontractors and on-site teams
- Conduct detailed site surveys and prepare accurate measurements
- Produce and manage comprehensive Risk and Method Statements
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and CDM Regulations
- Develop and maintain programmes of work, ensuring efficient scheduling
- Liaise with estimating teams during project handovers
- Accurately manage project costs, labour, materials, and timelines
- Oversee procurement of materials, plant, and specialist services
- Ensure all deliveries and works are completed on time and to spec
- Uphold strict quality standards across all service areas
- Regularly attend and lead site meetings with clients, architects, surveyors, and other stakeholders
- Identify and engage best-value suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintain up-to-date site qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, etc.)
- Drive innovation and improvements within the Contracts Department in line with business growth strategy
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong experience in a Contracts Manager role within industrial/commercial roofing or refurbishment
- Expertise in roofing systems such as metal cladding, composite, and single-ply, with asbestos awareness
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Results-driven, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple priorities
