Senior Technical Coordinator Location: Cambridge Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance + Package Sector: Residential Development The Opportunity A prestigious residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Technical Coordinator to join their established Technical team in Cambridge. This is a key role within the technical function, responsible for coordinating the design and technical delivery of high-quality residential developments from pre-construction through to construction. You will work closely with internal departments, external consultants, statutory authorities and construction teams to ensure projects are technically compliant, commercially viable and ready for delivery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-quality developments within an established and forward-thinking business, with responsibility for managing technical information across multiple projects and driving solutions through to completion. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of technical coordination across multiple residential developments Coordinate design information and ensure delivery is aligned with project programmes Manage relationships with architects, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors Review drawings and technical information for buildability, compliance and construction readiness Coordinate planning approvals, statutory applications and discharge of planning conditions Work closely with Construction, Commercial, Land, Planning and Sales teams to ensure technical requirements are aligned Review and coordinate specialist subcontractor and supplier design information Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the design and construction process Support value engineering and design optimisation while maintaining quality standards Ensure projects comply with relevant building regulations, CDM requirements and company procedures Maintain accurate technical records and ensure information is appropriately documented throughout the project lifecycle Support the implementation of Golden Thread requirements and effective technical handover Provide technical support to the wider project team and assist with mentoring more junior members of the Technical team What We're Looking For Minimum 5 years working within a Technical Coordinator, Senior Technical Coordinator or similar technical role within residential construction Strong experience coordinating residential design and technical information Good understanding of the residential development process from pre-construction through to delivery Strong understanding of planning, building regulations, statutory approvals and technical compliance Knowledge of CDM, Building Regulations and current technical requirements Understanding of Golden Thread principles and the requirements surrounding information management Relevant qualification such as a Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent industry experience Strong attention to detail with a genuine focus on quality and buildability Ability to build effective relationships across Technical, Construction, Commercial and wider project teams Package £60,000 – £65,000 basic salary Car allowance Competitive benefits package Opportunity to work for a prestigious residential developer High-quality residential projects Long-term career development opportunities For further informationn contact Jenny Saban in our Cambridge office
