Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator looking for a role where you can genuinely influence projects from pre-construction through to completion? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected commercial construction business with a strong reputation for delivering specialist works projects across a diverse client base. The Role
Working within the specialist works division, you will be responsible for managing estimating and commercial activities across multiple projects, supporting successful delivery from tender stage through to final account. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Producing accurate take-offs and cost plans
- Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries
- Commercial management of projects throughout delivery
- Monitoring project costs, variations, and valuations
- Supporting negotiations and client communication
- Working closely with operational and project delivery teams
- Attending occasional site visits and client meetings
What We’re Looking For
Key skills and experience:
- Previous estimating and/or quantity surveying experience within construction
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Good understanding of contracts, variations, and cost control
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional travel
