The Role

  • You'll be responsible for leading production operations across multiple live developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest possible standards.
  • You'll provide strategic leadership to Contracts Managers and site teams, driving operational performance while maintaining exceptional quality, customer satisfaction and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of multiple residential developments across the region.
  • Provide leadership and support to Contracts Managers and site management teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to exceptional quality standards.
  • Drive a positive health & safety culture across all developments.
  • Monitor programme performance, buildability and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and manage project risks while implementing practical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities and supply chain partners.
  • Support pre-construction activities, value engineering and future business opportunities.
  • Champion sustainability, quality and continuous improvement throughout the construction process.
  • Mentor and develop regional production teams, creating a high-performance culture.

About You

We're keen to speak with experienced Production Directors or Senior Operational Leaders who can demonstrate:

  • A proven track record delivering large-scale residential developments valued at £40m+.
  • Extensive experience within the house building sector, ideally working for a national house builder or regional developer.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multiple Contracts Managers and site teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK construction practices and current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience working with Local Authorities and Housing Associations.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance quality, programme and cost.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • SMSTS, First Aid and NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Experience using ASTA Powerproject would be advantageous.
