We have a fantastic permanent position available near Southwold working with a dynamic client specialising in commercial & industrial new-build construction, interior fit-out & refurbishment, and office and welfare furniture supply and installation.

Playing a role in supporting the management of costs and contractual relationships throughout various construction projects. This position provides a perfect stepping stone into the world of quantity surveying within a diverse and innovative construction environment.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Supporting in the evaluation of subcontractor quotations and negotiations.
Collaborating with the Quantity Surveying team to monitor costs and financial progress throughout projects.
Assisting in the identification and valuation of variations to contracts.
Participating in cost analysis and reporting to ensure projects remain within budget.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships.
Contributing to the overall success of commercial and industrial projects from inception to completion.
Experience:

A degree in Quantity Surveying (or working towards) or a related field.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant quantity surveying software.
A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A passion for the construction industry and a desire to learn and grow within the field.
