Job DescriptionJob Title: Working Supervisor Job Type: Permanent full time position - Monday to Friday Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas Rate of pay: £38,000-£40,000 per annum plus a company van We are currently recruiting for a Working Supervisor to join a reputable social housing contractor, overseeing a Damp & Mould contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works
- Carry out hands‑on remedial works when required
- Lead by example and support operatives on-site
- Manage contractors and in-house teams to ensure works are completed to a high standard
- Carry out property inspections, quality checks and monitor remedial works
- Identify damp and mould issues and ensure appropriate remedial solutions are completed
- Monitor workloads, schedules and health & safety compliance
- Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors to resolve issues and provide updates
- Ensure works are completed within agreed timescales and contract standards
- Complete job sheets, reports and other relevant documentation
- Support the Contract Manager with day‑to‑day delivery of the damp and mould programme
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Working Supervisor, Supervisor or experienced Multi-Trade Operative
- Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs
- Experience working on damp and mould remedial works is highly desirable
- Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs
- Ability to carry out hands‑on works alongside supervising a team
- Experience carrying out property inspections and quality checks
- SMSTS certification
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence
