Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submission of detailed mechanical estimates and tender packages.
- Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Produce accurate cost plans, labour assessments, material pricing, and risk analysis.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries and evaluate returned quotations.
- Collaborate closely with design, commercial, and operational teams to develop competitive solutions.
- Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining technical integrity and project quality.
- Support business development activities and contribute to bid strategy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical estimating within the Building Services sector.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, public health, and associated mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated success delivering estimates for medium to large-scale projects.
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Relevant industry qualifications are advantageous.
