Overview

Our client, a well‑established family‑run maintenance contractor based in the South East, is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Site Manager to oversee commercial maintenance and refurbishment projects across London and the South East.

The work is primarily for a major pub chain, delivering planned and reactive repairs, refurbishments, and fit‑out projects across multiple sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Site Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is experienced in managing projects from inception through to completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple commercial maintenance and refurbishment projects across London and the South East.
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site operatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.
  • Liaise with clients, Contracts Managers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates.
  • Order and manage materials, plant, and labour requirements.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports and health & safety records.
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise delays.
  • Ensure a high standard of workmanship and customer service on every project.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within commercial maintenance, refurbishment, or fit‑out.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple live projects.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of current health and safety legislation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work certificate.
