The Product Information Lead is accountable for the governance and performance of the existing product range.
The role ensures that product information, technical documentation, certifications, price lists, and digital product documents (including BIM/CAD where applicable) are accurate, controlled, compliant, and fit for use by customers and internal teams.
The Product Information Lead will manage structured change control across the existing portfolio, ensuring that updates are properly assessed, documented, approved, communicated and traceable.
The role acts as the coordinator for product design non-conformances and maintains the integrity and accessibility of product information systems and structures.
- Own Existing Product Range Governance
Maintain oversight of the existing product range, ensuring documents that contain product information remain clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date, unambiguous and controlled across their lifecycle.
- Manage Controlled Change to Existing Products
Lead end‑to‑end change control for updates to existing products, ensuring impacts are assessed, approvals are obtained, and implementation is traceable.
Ensure product changes are communicated effectively to internal teams (sales, customer support, quality, production) with the correct versioned documentation.
- Accountable for Product Information, Documentation and Collateral Readiness
Oversee the creation, maintenance and publication readiness of product documentation and collateral, ensuring consistency, accuracy and controlled versioning.

- Lead Certification, Compliance and Evidence Management
Oversee third‑party certifications, EPD documentation, CCPI applications/renewals, and associated evidence packs, ensuring renewals are planned and delivered on time.
Maintain awareness of evolving regulatory and industry requirements affecting product information and lifecycle transparency, and translate them into a practical compliance plan for the existing portfolio.
- Own Price Lists
Oversee price lists and related product commercial artefacts to ensure accuracy, currency, version control, and appropriate internal availability.
- Coordinate Resolution of Product Range Queries (Internal and External Escalations)
Manage and coordinate resolution of product range queries raised by customers, customer support, external sales, quality, and production; ensuring timely responses and clear ownership of actions.
Liaise with technical colleagues to confirm correct resolutions and ensure outcomes are captured in controlled documentation where required.
- Maintain Product Data Systems and Knowledge Structures
Maintain and improve the team’s channels, folder structures and information architecture within Microsoft Teams to keep product data easy to find, clearly mapped and consistently governed.
Implement simple rules and routines that reduce rework, minimise duplication, and improve audit readiness across product information assets.
Ensure process maps, policies and procedures relating to the technical team are accurate and are kept up to date.
