We are working with a global corporate and investment bank, which has a strong and growing presence throughout Europe, having consistently harnessed a stable flow of business, which shows no sign of stopping.
As a result, the EMEA legal team is now looking for an experienced financial markets / sales and trading lawyer to join them, initially on a contract basis, who will advise across derivatives, credit, rates and financing products.
What will the role involve?
- Disseminating changes in regulation (e.g. MiFiD II, MAR) to product development, trading and front-office teams to ensure rules are being applied consistently and legal risk is managed appropriately;
- Providing day-to-day support on trading activity;
- Drafting and negotiating a wide scope of documentation, encompassing FX, clearing, and E-trading, for example;
- Advising on product structuring and deal execution, when required.
This role requires close interaction with a variety of business teams and requires knowledge that spans a range of products and regulatory frameworks, so will suit a lawyer who has already accrued demonstrable in-house experience in a similar role/institution.
The successful candidate will be able to inspire trust, and be adept at forming relationships with the risk, compliance, legal and front-office teams they will regularly interact with.
Our client will remunerate the successful candidate with a very competitive daily rate, as well as offering a healthy work/life balance and a generous/flexible approach to working from home on a weekly basis, if desired.
