Regulatory Lawyer

We are working with one of the largest financial services organisations across Asia, which has a strong and growing presence throughout Europe. This bank has harnessed a consistent and stable flow of business and continues to perform well so it is a great time to join.

As a result of this strong performance, the EMEA legal team is now looking for a Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer to join their Legal team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to increased workload across the bank and team.

What will the role involve:

• You will be the lead lawyer on all aspects of the bank’s EMEA cross-border marketing risk appetite framework, as well as assisting in advising on wider regulatory matters across both the corporate and investment bank;
• You will be a core member of the cross-departmental cross-border marketing working group, and ensure the front office is accurately advised with regards to cross-border marketing matters;
• You will liaise with key EMEA stakeholders advising on all marketing queries and transacting of products/services across the full range of banking and capital markets products and be responsible for the continued implementation and growth of the framework;
• You will also work alongside other regulatory lawyers on matters that affect the bank and it\’s products across EMEA.

What skill-sets are we looking for?

• Qualified lawyer 2 years+ PQE from a reputable law firm or financial institution;
• Should ideally be familiar with regulatory issues around licensing and cross-border marketing risks;
• The ability to manage multiple workstreams and work with multiple stakeholders;
• Someone who can build solid relationships with internal stakeholders and who is a strong team player.
