Role Overview

Our client is a well‑known and successful global investment and development organisation that has an impressive track‑record. A 12‑month fixed‑term contract maternity cover role for a lawyer with solid leveraged finance/private credit/high yield experience has arisen in this business, which provides principal financing and secondary market investing across the capital structure.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on complex deal structuring across a portfolio of international clients, taking full responsibility for drafting, and negotiating legal documentation across leveraged finance, real estate and private equity transactions;
  • Manage the life cycle of a transaction from embryonic/strategic stages through to execution;
  • Support the management of a robust loan, equity, and real estate portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Lawyer from top‑tier US and UK law firms; may also have relevant in‑house experience;
  • Comfortable sitting directly with a business team and responding to queries with an 'open door policy'; ability to disseminate complex legal matters through a commercial lens for a non‑legal audience;
  • Background in leveraged finance and private credit; relevant experience in credit/distressed debt fund, restructuring or real estate.
