We are recruiting for a number of 12-month FTC opportunities within one of the UK’s most well-known, forward-thinking, purpose-driven energy businesses. This organisation sits at the forefront of the UK’s journey to net zero, with a genuinely positive, empowering culture and a legal team known for its collaboration, stability and long-term investment in people.
The business and its legal function are continuing to grow, creating real scope for longer-term opportunities beyond the initial contract. You’ll be joining at an exciting time, working on major commercial and transformational projects that directly support the UK’s sustainable energy transition and you’ll be part of a team known for being supportive, pragmatic and genuinely committed to developing their lawyers.
You’ll work alongside experienced specialists on a wide range of high-value commercial contracts and project-based matters. The work is strategic, innovative and varied — spanning complex supply arrangements, technology-driven initiatives, customer and partner agreements, and large-scale operational projects.
This role would suit:
- A private practice lawyer with strong Commercial Contracts and/or Projects experience who is ready for a high-quality first move in-house, or
- An ambitious in-house lawyer looking to deepen their exposure to sophisticated commercial and project work within a purpose-led, future-focused organisation.
The roles available are principally involved in:
- General commercial contracts with particular experience in infrastructure/energy and PPAs
- FS/FCA or other regulated matters
- Construction
- Corporate project work
Package: Salary up to £75k (DOE) plus bonus and excellent benefits.
Working pattern: Very flexible working — open to full-time or part-time.
Location: Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office (West or East Midlands).
If you want to join a growing, mission-driven organisation where your work will shape meaningful, real-world outcomes — and where long-term prospects are strong — this is a fantastic opportunity.
