We are working with one of the largest financial services organisations across Asia, which has a strong and growing presence throughout Europe. This bank has harnessed a consistent and stable flow of business and continues to perform well so it is a great time to join. The EMEA legal team is now looking for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their legal team, initially for a 12-month basis.
The successful candidate will occupy a visible role with plenty of breadth and responsibility, encompassing:
- The development of employment policies, procedures and templates/contracts across the UK business in line with company strategy and legislative change;
- Management of the employment/organisational aspects of restructurings and/or acquisitions (including TUPE);
- Guiding the process of any complex grievances/investigations involving senior members of staff, which may include settlement agreements and negotiations at MD level or higher;
- Management of external HR legal advice and costs where needed, including those associated with employee litigation and disputes;
- Close collaboration with HR Business Partners and Employee Relations colleagues in change management initiatives, to minimise legal risk and ensure better outcomes for employees and the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to occupy a key role within a reputable and successful financial services organisation, which continues to grow. You will join a collaborative and established legal team and work closely with the HR and ER colleagues. Whilst the team is friendly and collegiate, you must be able to work autonomously and enjoy a broad diet of work that is dynamic and evolving. You must also be able to thrive in a position of visibility and responsibility, and lead by example. This team enjoys a flexible and generous hybrid working policy (with 2-3 days in the office per week) and a healthy work-life balance.
