π¨ Rare In-House Corporate Role | 6+ PQE | Global Expansion | Midlands-Based
A highly profitable, UK-headquartered global business is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Lawyer (6+ PQE) to join its high-performing and extremely supportive legal team following a period of international growth. Midlands-based β hybrid working.
This is a newly created position for a corporate lawyer to step into a strategic, wide-ranging in-house position, working directly with the Group General Counsel and closely with the Senior Leadership and Board. This opportunity offers a high level of autonomy and requires a confident corporate lawyer who is looking to step into a wide role enabling you to broaden your experience in an international environment, including leading or supporting the following projects across the Group:
- Lead on corporate projects including corporate transactions, finance & tax-led transactions, managing incentive/share schemes, investor funding projects and restructuring and M&A;
- Support on governance and board activity β board reporting, policies (ABC, Code of Conduct), and best practice frameworks.
- Partner with Group Finance on debt funding, covenant compliance and new and existing financing arrangements (with support from externals).
- Supporting on more general Group commercial matters, including procurement, general commercial agreements, IP and portfolio management;

What we\βre looking for:
β Minimum 6 yearsβ PQE (private practice or in-house) of broad corporate matters β it is not necessary to have experience of all the aspects of the role, but a strong desire to diversify is essential
β Excellent technical ability and strong interpersonal skills
β Self-starter with a proactive, commercial mindset
β Experience with cross-border/international matters would be beneficial but not essential
β No prior in-house experience required
