We are partnering with a true leader in the multi-let industrial (MLI) area of the UK and European real estate market. This organisation’s strong performance to date has been bolstered further by private equity backing, and this continued growth has prompted the search for a Company Secretary to join the team in the business’s central London office. The role sits in a small Corporate Governance team and will report into the Head of Legal, Compliance and Corporate Governance and liaise with the group’s investors.
More specifically, it will encompass:
- Management board and committees’ packs and minuting;
- Maintaining the statutory books of various companies within the group;
- Dealing with company returns/filings for group companies incorporated in England & Wales, Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and BVI;
- Managing the liquidation of corporate entities;
- Drafting of board and shareholders resolutions;
- Maintaining the risk compliance process, and maintaining the group risk register.
Over the next year, this organisation will continue to grow and further expand their portfolio by way of acquisition, JV and organically. This role therefore requires this person to possess excellent communication skills, the ability to deal with people at C-Suite and Board level, and solid organisational skills. Coming from the real estate/property sector is not a pre-requisite, but if coming from another sector, you must be used to working in a fast-paced private-equity backed environment.
Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in a recent/current company secretarial role; solid understanding of the UK Companies Act and, ideally, some sense of legislations in foreign jurisdictions; proficient with all main applications in the MS Office environment; a team player, who is pro-active and self-motivated.
They are offering a competitive base salary with a discretionary performance linked bonus, as well as pension, health and life insurance.
Due to a high volume of applications we will only respond to those we deem suitable for the role.
