Our subsidiary, Arbuthnot Commercial Asset Based Lending (ACABL, based in Manchester) is a specialist asset based lender, focused on delivering facilities to SME’s and lower mid-market corporates. They provide full asset based lending facilities plus cash flow loans in support of acquisition, refinancing, cash-out and turnaround scenarios. The business has been founded on strong established relationships with key business introducers, including the leading corporate advisory, accountancy firms and Private Equity houses. ACABL’s aim is to build long-term relationships with our clients and their advisors, supporting their objectives throughout the business and economic cycle. To assist in the management of all clients within the assigned portfolio in accordance with corporate objectives, approved policy & appetite statements and best practice, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and records, as well as detecting errors and fraud. Supporting the delivery of effective client risk management strategies and providing high quality service to Arbuthnot Commercial Asset Based Lending clients. Key responsibilties: Develop & maintain strong relationship with clients at facility management level, maximising client life and retention. Understand risk drivers and monitor triggers ensuring that risk is managed within Arbuthnot Commercial ABL Credit Policy and Procedures. Visit clients at take-on and accompany Client Manager at subsequent visits as required. Set up new facilities and maintain details of existing Clients Responsible for Client payment runs and ensuring daily updates of trust account receipts are processed Reconcile Client Collateral and resolve discrepancies Offer appropriate support to clients and other departments on day-to-day basis and resolve queries in a timely manner. Ensure client submissions, data and practices adhere to Finance Agreements. Provide support to Client Manager in preparing for visits and annual reviews. Carry out recommended actions as necessary. Comply with all client reporting metrics producing reviews/reports as appropriate to the Portfolio Management Meetings Present a positive image of Arbuthnot Commercial ABL at all times. Onboard new clients in line with ABL procedures. Person Specification Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications Proven track record of providing Client Portfolio support in a Lending environment. Experience of asset based lending products beneficial Able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities whilst maintaining accuracy, quality and client focus. Strong organisational skills, and good analytical thinking. Good working knowledge and skill in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel where experience to a pivot table standard would be advantageous.
